Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You
Variety is the Spice of Life and One Size does NOT Fit All; and that’s a good thing! So, with that in mind I decided to check out the new franchise massage therapy establishments you see popping up in the shopping malls.
Well, I must say if you like a good pounding and jolting, Shiatsu type bodywork treatment then these places might be right for you. I felt myself bracing and holding my breath in between what felt like blows to my body. I am certain that they were not taking in to consideration that there is a central nervous system attached to the slab of meat on lying on their table. I have had other massages where I felt like I had been in a “blender”; you know where the therapist is rubbing so hard and so fast that you can not possibly register the feeling?
It’s great that many more people are being “exposed” to massage because of the low prices these franchises offer, but it’s important that people do not think ALL massage and body work is done this way. I hope a "first timer" does not get the wrong impression and miss out on the healing benefits of a more seasoned, high quality bodywork. The production line massage is not the kind of massage you receive when you come to my office. You can be sure that in my office we have experienced, caring, professional, passionate therapists who “read” your body, ask questions and review your aches and pains to ensure they are addressed during your session. It’s not a job; it’s a mission for us. Experience the difference for yourself. www.networkforhealth.com, Denise, 858-945-6199.
