January 2007 - New Location & Massaging In The New Year!
R-e-l-a-x, renew, replenish, restore…and celebrate the New Year with a massage or bodywork session - either for yourself or with a gift certificate for someone you love. I am excited to have three more reasons to celebrate this New Year: Graduation, a New Business and a New Location! After 5 years of classroom training and hands-on work in my massage practice, I have satisfied all the requirements and am graduating as a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP). I am opening up my own business called Network For Health Holistic Center, LLC in a new location: 16885 West Bernardo Drive, Suite 250, 92127.
What is a Holistic Health Practitioner? An HHP is not a doctor, but is a practitioner and educator of holistic methods of health care. My goal is to help the client to achieve a state of balance in the mind-body connection through counseling and education. Quality of life may be improved through inner balance, self-empowerment, physical ease, or even emotional confidence. Wherever you begin be it in energy work, bodywork, or even the mind, you will find that all of you is affected by the work, thus the body-mind connection.
In your initial intake appointment, I will listen to your concerns and conditions and provide therapies and educational direction specific to your individual needs.
Body-centered Therapies
Examples of my body-centered offerings are bodywork, massage therapy (sports/deep tissue, pregnancy, tui-na) yoga, acupressure, myofascial release, somatics, structure/posture analysis and reflexology.
Using a combination of movement, breath, and physical pressure (from massage to trigger points) to allow the body to release tension. Releasing this tension then allows the mind to also find a relaxed state. Sometimes the relaxation state is the goal of the sessions, other times, it is the true starting point.
Energy-centered Therapies
Examples of my energy-centered work are craniosacral, applied kinesiology (Touch For Health), Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Bach Flower Essences and homeopathy.
Energy work is often done with energetic 'maps' of the body. They are used to learn where the energy is stuck, depleted, or overtaxed in the body and help the practitioner bring a level of balance to the body's energetic system. This balance also affects the mind and the overall body, enhancing the client's state of being on many levels.
Mind-centered Therapies
I offer a Fearbuster support group and nutritional counseling. I can assist clients in designing and manifesting the life, career, business and health situations that they truly desire. Working with a client 1-4 times per month setting goals, opening belief systems and partnering with the client to provide the support they need to move forward in their lives.
