My interest in Kinesiology began in 1970, and a mere 30 years later became a part of my career change in 2001. Up until 2001 my background had been in computer programming and aerospace.

In 2003 during a period of extensive learning I, personally, began experiencing peri-menopause. I had heard about the night sweats and hot flashes but until you go through it, you do not fully appreciate how uncomfortable it is. I was having a hot flash every 45 minutes and my sleep cycle was all over the place. My memory was fading and my concentration was poor.

I began searching for a safe, effective all natural approach to end my suffering: enter Suzanne Somers. I read her books with great interest and began making diet changes and found it really made some difference. I read more and sought out the doctors that she listed in her book. Many of those doctors were already overwhelmed by the vast numbers of women just like me, and were not accepting any new clients. I did not give up, and I finally found a pharmacy that did Saliva testing. It was great, but only for a short period of time. It was pretty clear to me that they did not know what they were doing. I consulted doctor after doctor and even drove up to the Jennifer Berman Clinic in Los Angeles to see if they could get it right. But no, they were just as messed up as the others. I spent a fortune seeking medical help and I now refer to it as "paid on the job training".

I listened to and tried everything each doctor told me to do. Bio-identical creams, capsules, drops and supplements, diets, etc. Some made improvements and others were a complete waste of time and money. They were all still missing the boat. In 2008 I heard about some courses that were being offered to train Practitioners to provide Saliva and Urine testing for Cortisol, DHEA and Hormone levels. These classes gave me the key to finding the underlying causes; getting at the clinical correlation and unlocking the potential to RESTORE functionality to the Adrenals, not just provide a band-aid to a host of symptoms. Finally, this put the power in my own hands! No more guessing and self treating. We have these inexpensive, easy to use, in-home testing kits that allow us to be more accurate and give the body what it's asking for to repair and rebuild. I can now pass this experience on to others and help you find the underlying issues that led to the break down of your health and well-being. Invest In Your Health and Love The Way You Feel!

I like the approach your office takes with regards to health. It's straight forward, and it's all natural. Using the body to tell what it needs, most problems are eliminated before they become real trouble. Before I was spending lots of money on what I thought were quality vitamins and supplements and the ones I thought I needed. This takes the guess work out of it and I get a custom designed supplement plan using whole food and whole food supplements. LB, San Clemente, CA

Your response inspired me to look up "protein and depression". Interesting. There is a connection. Yesterday, the day after my 12 ounce meat marathon that I had to do for my urine testing, I was productive as never before. I did household tasks that I've left undone for about 2 years. This morning I organized my "junk drawer" instead of looking at it thinking "I should organize this.... someday." At one point yesterday, as I was whipping through some tasks, I thought "this is how normal people feel". Could there be a link with the protein? HD, San Diego, CA

It does take time and commitment but it's worth it. I feel better that I have in years. My memory has improved and it was going down hill fast. My energy levels are so much better. I was dragging and self medicating with coffee in the afternoons. No more need for that. LC, Houston, TX

I used to be on several prescription medicines. I was sure the side effects were bad for me but didn't know what else to do. Since I have been taking the whole food supplements I can't believe the changes that have been made to my system and outlook. I am no longer taking prescription medicine and yet I seem to be improving. I would highly recommend this practice and office to anyone. JB, Poway, CA

I had read that a side-affect of depleted adrenals was food cravings, and that restoring the adrenals often led to weight loss. I have noticed that I don't get that hungry anymore, and especially when I'm sugar free. I have still been eating like a cow (actually I'm tapering down now) because I was still operating in habit mode. I'm starting to honor my body and pay more attention to what it's asking me for. HD, San Diego, CA

I'm on a pretty good diet now...I'm hypoglycemic, allergic to wheat and recently figured out I'm lactose intolerant...so no wheat, dairy or simple sugars for me. And I struggle with Candida so as long as I avoid sugar, I control the sugar cravings. I eat a high protein, low carb diet. I know I need to increase my fruits and veggies but I'm doing better than the majority of the population ;-) I can always improve but I think that I'm doing well and have figured out what foods are like poison to me and will avoid them since feeling like crap just isn't worth it. MK, Redmond, WA

I had two days of killer PMS and sunk back to where I was for two years. It was "nice"??? to have a taste of where I came from so I can appreciate my new vibrancy. I had been sugar-free for 3 1/2 days and I blasted out of the PMS with 6 cookies, a piece of pumpkin pie and fruit cake!! Now that my adrenals are up to speed the sugar actually makes a difference in terms of serotonin production. I'm back now just finished 48 hours of sugar free. HD, San Diego, CA
